About Us
Guardians of Our Democracy is an educational organization and advocacy endeavor founded under Past Present Future Co. in 2020. We are dedicated to empowering citizens to actively participate in the democratic process. Inspired by President Obama's call for individuals to be "anxious, jealous guardians of our democracy," this group focuses on combating voter suppression, advocating for voting rights, pursuing legal action to protect these rights, and increasing voter turnout through registration initiatives. Our mission emphasizes that ordinary people can drive extraordinary change and impact by embracing their role as active citizens. GOOD is a nonpartisan organization.

FAQs
-
If you’re an eligible voter, you can first make sure your voter registration is up-to-date. The next thing you can do is pretty simple: make sure friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers are registered to vote and have a plan to vote in the upcoming election. You can write postcards to send out, send a few texts or email reminders, and utilize social media to your advantage to spread the word.
-
If you’re 16 or 17, check if your state allows pre-registration. You can still get involved in many ways even if you’re not of age to vote yet. Simply getting your friends and family who can vote involved helps the movement tremendously.
